Money is provided on an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. It is administered to schools that were closed or on remote learning for 5 or more consecutive days. What is the intent of the program? To help families with school age children during the pandemic Similar to other federal programs, P-EBT was put in place to provide assistance and relief to families struggling to make ends meet during Covid-19. Strategies were implemented to get benefits to families as quickly as possible without requiring families to take action.
